Volunteer Policies

Volunteer Requirements and Policies

In order to receive insurance we are implementing volunteer requirements and policies related to Sexual Abuse and Misconduct Prevention and Reporting. 

Additionally, beginning the 2021 Season we will be required to pull a background check on all coaches.  The background check will be used to determine fitness for any volunteer position.

Each volunteer provided by your family (family, extended family and/or family friends)  will need to read the Volunteer Requirements and Policies document at the following link: Goals_Volunteer Requirements and Policies.  The volunteers need to ensure they meet all requirement and also understand and will comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the document. 

During the registration process the parent that completes the registration will need to confirm a number of statements (see below) related to any volunteers being provided by the family or extended family.   

It is up to the parent completing the registration to ensure the volunteers provided by their family have read, understand, and will comply with all the Policies and procedures outlined in the Volunteer Requirements and Policies document. 

It is also up to the parent completing the registration to ensure the volunteers provided by their family meet all the requirements (see below) outlined in the Volunteer Requirements and Policies document.  


The following are the statements that will need to be confirmed by the parent completing the registration on behalf of all volunteers provided by their family:

By volunteering for any role in Goals Home School Soccer you must be able to confirm the following statements:

I.         I will follow the leagues procedures for addressing claims of sexual abuse or molestation (outlined in the Goals Volunteer Requirements and Policies document)

II.       I will follow the leagues procedure for monitoring employees and volunteers in contact with children, both on and off premises (outlined in the Goals Volunteer Requirements and Policies document)

III.     I have not been convicted (including crimes the record of which has been expunged or pleas of “no contest”), disciplined, or discharged from employment for committing or attempting to commit crimes in the area of:
• Child abuse
• Sexual abuse of a minor
• Physical abuse
• Murder
• Manslaughter
• Felony assault
• Kidnapping
• Arson
• Criminal sexual conduct
• Neglect of a child
• Abuse causing a child’s death
• Prostitution related crimes
• Child pornography
• Child exploitation
• Controlled substance crimes
• Juvenile prostituting or pimping II.

IV.    I have not been convicted of any offense in any other state or against the laws of the United States which if committed or attempted in this state would have been punishable as one or more of the foregoing enumerated offenses.

V.      I have not been adjudged liable for civil penalties or damages involving sexual or physical abuse of children.

VI.    I have not been subjected to any court order involving any sexual abuse or physical abuse of a minor, including but not limited to domestic order for protection.

VII.  I have not ever had my parental rights terminated.

VIII. I understand that I have an ongoing obligation as a volunteer of this organization to promptly report any conviction in those areas described above.

IX. I understand the league will hire a third-party firm to run a background check on me and the background check will be used in determining my fitness for any volunteer position

By agreeing to volunteer, you are designating that all of the above statements are true and correct.
