2024 Soccer Registration
We will again be playing at Clark Park in Molalla. First practice will be Thursday, September 5th, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The last practice will be October 31st. Younger teams will have shorter practices.
The first 2 Saturdays will be practices. Games will start Saturday, September 21st. November 2nd will be the last game.
Again this year, we will only be accepting
registrations through our online registration site. We will not accept payment by
Check or Cash.
Each
volunteer provided by your family will need to read the volunteer policies
related to sexual abuse and misconduct prevention and reporting and read the concussion action plan.
This year the fee will be $65.00 per player. **This
fee does not include the jersey**
No refunds after the 1st week of the start of soccer. (Except for Head Coaches)
If you are selected as a Head Coach, all the players in your family will
receive a 50% discount off the registration fee (this does not apply to Jersey
cost). The refunds will be made after the 2nd week of the season.
Registration
will close August 28th.
Note:
In general, we do not take late registrations. This is necessary in
order to determine team sizes, assign kids to
teams, determine coaching assignments in advance of the first practice and set
the Game schedule. Some exceptions are made, but there is an automatic $20
late fee applied to late online registration after August 28th.
If you
need a new jersey, it needs to be purchased for a fee of $22.00 per jersey. You
will not be permitted to play in any games without your official homeschool
soccer jersey. If you have one from last season that fits and is in good
condition you don’t need to purchase another.
Note: We have a limited supply of used jerseys that we will sell for $5.00 on a first come first serve basis. Please indicate on your registration if you would like a used jersey, if one is available. Please pay the full $22.00 up front in your registration fee and you will be refunded $17.00 if you receive a used jersey at the first practice.
Practices will be
on THURSDAY this year.
First practice will be Thursday Sept 5th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Practices will continue every Thursday thru Oct 31st. Practice times may
be adjusted as we move later in the season, and it begins getting dark
earlier.
There will be also be Saturday practices on Sept 7th and Sept 14th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
Games will start on Saturday Sept 21st at 9:00 am and will run every Saturday thru Nov 2nd. Times will
depend on the number of teams based on registrations. Please see the Game
Schedule tab for updates on final dates and times.
All
Practices and Games will be held at Clark Park in Molalla.
This is
not a drop-off program. You will need to stay on the field or have another
adult taking responsibility for your player. This
doesn’t apply to players that are driving themselves to practices.
Note: We are planning on having a 4 and 5 year old team if there is interest
and if there is a volunteer to coach. We will not fill a 4/5 year old
coaching position until all other coaching positions are filled for the older
teams. We will refund registration fees if we end up not
having a team.
All
Families should provide one volunteer for at least one of the volunteer
positions below.
As you know this is a
family-run, volunteer-driven sport. Families
that provide a volunteer will get priority placement on a team if we need to
limit teams due to lack of coaches.
Families
that are unable to provide a volunteer will need to pay a $35 Volunteer Opt-Out
fee per player. This will be used to hire people to fill needed positions that cannot be filled with volunteers.
(If you have an older child
that has played soccer before and has the ability to be an assistant coach or referee,
this can be arranged on a case-by-case basis and will fill the volunteer
position for the family. Grandparents can also fill these
roles).
* Head Coaches
* Assistant Coaches
* Referee
* Line Judge
* Team Parent (coordinate
end of season pictures/notes, at all practices/games to assist coaches)
* Field Painting (See FAQ
for details)
What your player will need:
Soccer cleats
Shin guards
Water bottle
Home school soccer Jersey
Players will be divided up
by skill level. It is up to the coaches to place them on the team that fits
them best.
If you wear glasses and are 12 and older, you need to remove the glasses or wear sport glasses. This is a safety issue. If you have any questions let me know. All players with hair that goes past their shoulders must be tied back during all practices and games.
